We often find clients who have the skills and ability to enter the job market and succeed, but who are not really sure of the kind of job they wish to do. Our job coaches are here to help with that through our career guidance program that helps you identify the kind of work you will enjoy doing.
It’s an easy process, your coach will involve you in a series of tasks and activities, and then observe how you perform in each. Through that, they will be able to see what kind of things you do the best. With that information your coach will suggest job types to go for.
This can be a really useful process in helping you find the best career to suit your skills and ability, but don’t forget that this career guidance doesn’t end when you find that first job. We are here to help you on your journey, with additional training to learn new skills that help you progress in your chosen field and constantly improve your performance. By learning both job skills and adapting to the workplace, including attitude and behavior, you improve yourself, gain confidence and become more valuable to your employer. In this way, you build a career through self-improvement, and we are here to support you every step of the way.

Filling in a job application is an art, it’s hard to know what the employer is looking for, or what the job itself requires. Getting the job application right means understanding what that job is, and what you will need to do if you get it. Our job coaches are experts in the job application process, and will help you research and understand the vacancy, including what will be expected of you, what the responsibilities are and so on.
That is only half the picture though, our team will also help you research the employer, understanding who they are, what they expect from employees and so on. With this information, you can then fill out your job application with confidence, knowing that our team are there to help with any questions you may have, or if you need guidance to ensure everything is perfect.
For many of us, the interview is the most challenging step in the job application process. From being nervous to not knowing what to say, it can be a frightening prospect, especially if you haven’t took part in many interviews before. An interview is the chance to stand out from the crowd, to show an employer who you are and what you have to offer in person, yet too many people walk into the situation unprepared. This results in poor communication, with poor answers to questions for instance, or overconfidence to compensate, neither of which show the employer who you really are.
Our expert team are here to help you practice your interview technique, helping you strike the right balance of confidence in yourself and understanding of both the employer and the vacancy. With our help, you will be able to create interesting and informative answers to any question asked, and also present yourself in the best light to acquire the position you want.
